Why it is worth taking part
The Blue Marina Awards are fostering a virtuous process for the tourist port sector: a pathway that enables participating facilities to:
benchmark themselves against transparent and pragmatic criteria
identify areas for improvement and define concrete priorities
become active players in a process of continuous growth within the constantly evolving Blue Economy market
In addition to the opportunity to obtain the recognition mark, all participants will receive an assessment providing a snapshot of their current position against key indicators in:
environmental and energy sustainability
hospitality and inclusiveness
technological innovation
safety
The Blue Marina Awards are the first programme specifically designed to support the tourist port sector in a process of enhancement and growth, aligned with objectives, policies and strategies relating to sustainability, innovation, hospitality, inclusiveness and safety.
Institutional recognition
As stated by the Italian Minister of Tourism:
“The Blue Marina Awards represent far more than a simple recognition: they are an accelerator of quality, sustainability and competitiveness for the entire tourist port system, celebrating those who help increase the value of the sea for our Nation.”
Regulation
Participation in the Blue Marina Awards implies acceptance of the Regulation.
The Regulations set out the general conditions that marinas must meet in order to take part in the 5th Edition.
RINA is the independent third-party verification body.
